Phat Nguyen is a Marketing Intern at KW Commercial 889-9898 with Russell Bernstein, CBI. Born in Vietnam, he moved to Michigan for higher education and is currently a rising sophomore pursuing a nursing degree at the University of Michigan.
During his freshman year as an undergraduate, he has taken courses on Psychology, Anthropology, Ecology, Money and Banking, Computer Science in order to broaden his intellectual interests. He was also involved in a Biological Authentic Research Connection lab during the Winter semester where he learned and performed experiments on yeast culture evolution. In his introduction course to Computer Science, he learned how to navigate C++ and Python.
Throughout the four years in high school, Phat was involved in Bliss for Youth, a student-led organization that sought to provide an environment for underprivileged Vietnamese children to learn English, which he also co-lead during his last two years. In his high school senior year, he often volunteered at a local Buddhist temple where he assisted with events and gatherings. During the Summer of 2020, he was also involved in Blue Mask Initiative, a brief project that helped fund-raise KN-95 masks for hospitals and nursing homes around Michigan.
Outside of his academic pursuits, he is also interested in digital illustration as well as reading books related to philosophy and psychology. During his leisure time, he often likes to watch youtube videos, listen to music, meditate, jog, and appreciate the natural world around him.
