Prior to becoming a Sales Intern, Max worked as a mentor for the Boston Cambridge Institute (BCI). He was responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the annual BCI Leaders Camp, which is an educational experience for international high school students interested in attending university in the United States. Max was responsible for over 25 students per session on daily outings and classroom activities and for inspiring his students to achieve their dreams of studying in the US. Max has also been part of a team at Events Inc managing the logistics and operations of large events such as the 2019 Destination Imagination Global Finals in Kansas City. Over 17,000 guests from around the world registered to participate and Max, along with the rest of the Events Inc. team, ran an exceptional global finals event for the Destination Imagination board.
While in high school Max was a member of the Winchester High School (Massachusetts) Red Cross Club. The club volunteered at a local food bank unloading, stocking, preparing, and distributing meals to hundreds of visitors. In college, Max served for two semesters as his fraternity's community service chair. His favorite event to help coordinate and participate in was "Trick-or-Treat with the Greeks." The event allows underserved Madison youth the chance to enjoy a safe and fun trick-or-treating experience by visiting some of the greek houses in Madison where members dress up, hand out candy, organize games and activities, and interact with the youth.
Max played various sports throughout his childhood including baseball, soccer, basketball, football, and lacrosse. In high school he played three years of varsity lacrosse and helped his team win league and sectional titles. Max also grew up skiing every weekend in New Hampshire and worked as a ski instructor for three years. Currently, Max enjoys jogging and lifting weights to stay in shape, as well as playing volleyball and ultimate frisbee with his friends. During the winter he enjoys playing pond hockey on the local lakes and rinks in Madison. Max is currently looking forward to the opening of the University of Wisconsin's new athletic complex which will include an Olympic-size swimming pool that he hopes to use often.
Along with his other interests, Max enjoys relaxing by playing chess and watching movies. Max and his roommates have also recently developed a passion for cooking and enjoy experimenting with new dishes and hosting small dinner parties at their apartment. Lastly, he has been aiming to improve his golf game by playing the public courses around Madison once or twice a week with his friends.
