Barrett Bock is currently a rising senior at University of Southern California, majoring in Business Administration and minoring in French studies. She is expected to graduate in May 2021, and anticipate entering in the real estate industry in Los Angeles. She is a Marketing Intern and French Language Specialist for KW Commercial 889-9898 with Russell Bernstein, CBI.
Barrett was born and raised in Dallas, TX and graduated from Highland Park High School in 2017. Before studying at Highland Park, she attended Dallas International School, a French immersion school. Here she fell in love with the French language and culture. Since her time here, she has continued her studies in French to this day. She hopes to use her knowledge of the language in her later career.
Barrett has had past experience in both commercial real estate and marketing. She has worked with Dunhill Partners in Dallas, TX where she worked with excel, adobe illustrator, and Argus. She worked directly with the property manager to upkeep property tenant payments and leases. Additionally, she created property marketing materials for potential clients. She transitioned into a more marketing focused role in Los Angeles with startup company Swoop. With Swoop, she created marketing campaigns, social media posts, and managed partnerships. She wishes to use both experiences to further develop a career in real estate marketing management.
In the future, Barrett wants to move abroad to France or London. In her spring semester of junior year, she studied at the University of Manchester. During this time, she realized her love for Europe and traveling. She enjoys learning about different cultures and lifestyles. Her favorite cites she visited were Berlin, London, and Paris. She sees herself one day creating a life and settling down in Europe.
Barrett’s hobbies include volunteering, hiking, photography, and reading. She spends most of her free time outdoors in Los Angeles. Her favorite hike is in the Santa Monica mountains in Pacific Palisades, called Inspiration Point. She also enjoys going to the beach with friends and continuing learning how to surf. She frequently volunteers with Westside German Shepherd Rescue, by walking dogs during the week. While school is online through zoom, she prioritizes having time to relax and do something she really enjoys outside of the online classroom.
