Jordan Jones is a Multimedia Intern at KW Commercial 889-9898 with Russell Bernstein, CBI. Jordan is currently a senior at DePaul University, majoring in Media and Cinema Studies with a minor in English Literature. She is interested in the television and movie industry as well as studio art with photography.
Throughout her academic career, Jordan has taken multiple media classes where she learned to edit videos, production, and communication within the industry. She has had a photograph exhibited in the Sheldon Art Gallery for a few months. She has tried new media forms in college including podcasting. Her interest in media forms has prompted her to pursue graduate school to gain additional experience.
Outside of academics, Jordan enjoys taking photos and videos of her family and creating video stories. She has experience in musical theatre on stage as well as behind the scenes. She is also interested in voice artistry and plans to take a course later this year. Jordan is a member of the Japanese Media Appreciation Club at DePaul University. This participation helps to share her enjoyment of anime and interest in Japanese culture with like mind individuals.
Jordan currently volunteers with the Saint Louis University Campus Kitchens which provides meals to food insecure clients. She also volunteers with the Saint Louis University Outreach Program where she assists clients in obtaining identification including birth certificates and state IDs.
Jordan enjoys watching movies, live theatre especially musicals, listening to music, reading, and intermural sports. Each activity allows her to interact with people, her environment, and helps her to discover more things to love and explore. She has played sports her whole life and being active helps with stress and wellness. Playing team sports also helps her to build her team and leadership skills.
In the future, Jordan hopes to build a career in television and/or cinema with exposure to production and maybe voice artistry. She believes her internship with KW Commercial will help give her necessary experience that she would need to fulfill her career goals. Having experience with a real business in the media department will also help her improve confidence and gain invaluable skills.
