Mercy is a Marketing Intern for KW Commercial 889-9898 with Russell Bernstein, CBI. As a first-year MBA student, Mercy specializes in Finance and Entrepreneurship at The Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School. She was born and raised in Botswana but has spent the last 4 years living in DC.
Before interning with Russell, Mercy had prior work experience in Education & Social Impact working for Georgetown University’s MBA program and Global Living program before she decided to get an MBA of her own. Mercy believes that investing has a huge role to play in social sustainable innovations. She spends her time at Carey directing social initiative funds as the VP of Finance and Impact for the Carey Net Impact chapter, competing in social sustainability cases, and furthering her valuation methodology by competing in research challenges and studying for her CFA certification.
Outside of her MBA and internship, Mercy considers herself a true Washington, DC, native. She enjoys all things foreign policy and politics -- from reading, writing, meeting people across the city to having bad sports-team spirit. Looking to the future, Mercy believes her refined experience in real estate, non-profit, and social-impact securities valuation will land her a future managing a social impact fund.
