Waad is a Valuation Intern and former Sales Intern at KW Commercial 889-9898 with Russell Bernstein, CBI. She is currently a Senior at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she is studying Finance & Management. Waad is a versatile, multi-lingual student. She is hoping to leverage years of professional experience and extracurricular involvement to become competitive in the international business world.

Waad is a certified scholarship student by the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission in the US, she is sponsored by the Ministry of Higher Education for a bachelor’s degree with a 100% coverage of academic expenses. Waad been on the Dean’s List for the first five semester's in her program, she also had many awards such as: the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission (SACM) Excellence Award for 6 semesters including summers; the Continuing Student Scholarship 2017-2018; the Certificates of Appreciation from the National Guard Schools, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, and many volunteering organizations; and the Student Leadership Recognition Award 2018. She is a member of multiple Honoree Society Organizations such as: Women in Business, Beta Alpha Psi National Honor Fraternity, Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society, and Omicron Delta Kappa National Honor Society.

Before interning with Russell, Waad was a Business Development Intern with Xpress Prepaid. She established and maintained relationships with 1000+ vendors from several states. She developed a database of qualified leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and networking. She provided sales support for new and inactive vendors increasing month-to-date sales by 200+. She translated necessary business information to Arabic-speaking vendors to ensure accuracy of information.

Waad also was a Marketing Intern for Marche Créole at ArtEgg Studios. She improved her marketing skills by planning and advertising monthly local sales events using social media and helped increase attendance by 50 people per event. She participated in brainstorming meetings for acquiring additional vendors and event attendees, including a free Yoga class. She facilitated communication with vendors seeking to participate in our events and maintained a vendor log on Excel. Also, she addressed vendor questions via phone calls and emails, providing necessary support to vendors looking to grow their business.

Waad also has leadership experience. She was a President of the biggest business organization in her university, called "Business Executive Council", where she developed and organized three events and one career fair for the business school. She created a monthly planner for meetings and events for each organization so that students would be able to attend as many events and meetings with no scheduling conflicts. She corresponded with students to ensure participation in community service and volunteer opportunities.

Waad has been volunteering since she was in middle school, and the most recent volunteering she has done in her college life are: MLK Day of Service participant, The Green Project, Second Harvest Food Bank, Louisiana SPCA, and Crawfish Mambo Festival. She has also attended many workshops including: Technical Interview Bootcamp - Financial Services Industry, Marketing and Sales Skills, Spreading Health Education in Saudi Arabia, and Successful Job Skills provided by Aramco & Princess Nora University in Riyadh, SA. She has known how to use Microsoft Office since elementary school, and she also gained her Bloomberg Market Concepts Software Certificate and Oracle NetSuite Software Certificate from her accounting and finance classes. 

In the future, Waad plans on following her passion to get licensed as a Real Estate Agent in Louisiana and then earn her CIPS designation. She is a self-motivated, purpose-driven individual who is eager to learn as much as possible, and to contribute to the KW Commercial team under Russel Bernstein.
